Being Prepared

In this world today nothing is certain, the only thing that is certain is tomorrow isn’t promised. With the world today makes that statement that much more real. Who knows what could happen with countries having it out for the USA or also with more and more disaster’s happening around the world how do you plan to protect your family and survive.

The first few hours are the most important. Being ready at a moment’s notice to run and hide or be ready to lock yourself down in your house. One thing to keep in your vehicle or in your house to help you be ready is a Bug-Out-Bag. There are a couple of different kinds of Bug-Out-Bags. One should have 72 hours of food plus essential needs for survival, a Get-Home-Bag this should have some food and any think you might need to get you home to your primary bag if something goes down while you are away from home.

Depending on your location the bags may or may not need like the more north you are you would want to include¬† warm cloths, hat, gloves, or isolated underwear but in the south you wouldn’t really need these as much. They are still important to have but not needed as much. The List below is a general list of things you might want to have. You could add more or take away things that might not be needed.

That is just the basic’s again something’s you might want to add or remove. This bag is just to get you home to your primary bag that will have all your other things. Also if you have a family and multiple cars you would want one of these in each car. Also the car that always has the most people in it you want to have extra to help get everyone home safely. So more water, food, clothes, blankets, a larger first aid kit.

This list for the Primary Bag is going to be a little longer and I will break up in groups to make it easier to read. Also if you have kids you will want to make a bag for them also with as much stuff in it as they can carry to help maximize the supplies. Each person in our family has their own bag and supplies are broken up between all four bags but each bag has what they would need to survive a couple days on their own if needed
